
The AITO Code sets out the standards of consumer service that all members must meet. It is part of Association's Quality Charter. Members must have it prominently displayed in member brochures and other marketing literature. Members of AITO must display a shorter Quality Statement in addition to their Quality Charter.
Communication between AITO members
The Association of Independent Tour Operators is a trade organization of small independent travel businesses. Members tend to be owner-managed, and are focused on certain markets or types holiday. The organisation strives help members improve their customer service, advice and competitive edge. Member companies often win consumer-voted awards for travel.

Events
Te Aito events take place every two years. They are a great way for people to get together, socialize, and meet new people. You can promote any event you have on social media and on your site to get attention. However, you must make sure that you have a plan.

In the past, AITO has held mini-conference style events that bring together AITO members, travel agents, and business partners. The events include training, networking, and social events.
